Daniel Johnston is a singer, songwriter, musician and artist. He was born on Jan 22 1961. Johnston has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Like many extraordinary artists throughout history Dan has an extraordinary personality which has been shaped and in many ways owned by his disorders, however, without such traits dans music and art would not be what is today.

In 2006 A documentary called 'Daniel Johnston and The Devil' was made about Dan and his life so far. It looks at most aspects of his life and gives a fascinating incite into the mind of an alternative individual.
